Creative Mobilization

Melting Virgo helped organize debtors with the Debt Collective, Metro DC DSA, and our allies for a mass action at the Department of Ed. Building on 10+ years of grassroots activism.
We experienced massive success and helped push the President to cancel $10K-$20K of federal student loans per person.

Melting Virgo:

Led various planning calls with activists.

Tracked and worked within budgets for art, music, food, medical and other supplies for the event.

Co-led a multi-day art build and musical workshop with Transverse Cooperative and Crush Funk Brass

Conceptualized and built major props used at the action.

Wrote an article summarizing the tactics used at the event published by the Washington Socialist.
